The prophets look like a mix between practical and digital effects which is a great idea they should do more of. Even though they were funny the Halo Wars 2 live action ads had an awesome puppet/costume for Atriox that they could have made more of for this series.

Something about him seems so perfectly creepy.

Not only is the design mostly true to the source material, he looks just real enough with those human looking teeth to set him right in the middle of that uncanny valley of creepiness.

Especially near the end of this video. He seems to act like a sweet old man who is talking to an innocent child. But everything about him looks so damn off, it gives you the impression that he’s anything but.

The Prophets look good just don’t like that their crowns are way smaller and less fancy. Also the Honor Guards should’ve looked like they do in Halo 2!
*Edit on second thought the Prophets look too human. Their ornamental gear is too plain. And Mercy should wear blue clothes. Regret wears green clothes.*

Wow. That's really different. Normally Covenant wouldn't even consider making conversation with a human, so this is a wild departure from Canon. Hopefully they make the most of it.

The Prophets look perfect.
I love that he's so old. His voice is raspy and his eyes are clouding over. It's clear he needs that chair to move.
They also got the dialogue down. He's reverent to the human to try and make her feel important while making sure to manipulate and focus her emotions toward destroying humans. He's keeping her on side to make use of her Reclaimer ability to use Forerunner objects.

Not only a Human was raised in the Covenant but now she outrank even the Prophets ? Canon or not, is still ridiculous.

I'm glad this TV series set in a different universe, cause I'll be wondering how this human being is alive and well in a presence of a Prophet.

The lack of OST is so apparent, it sounds super sci-fy with bass and no orchestral stuff like halo. And it’s so obvious when people uploading clips of the show have to put on game soundtrack over it. The current soundtrack made everything feel cheap and I feel like if they used remade motifs from the games it could’ve brought the whole show together. Like imagine if instead of the bass we got during the high charity reveal, it played the high charity suite like during the first cutscene in halo 2. It’s almost nitpicky but it’s super annoying and cheapens the experience.

I loved this design but I really want to know how Mercy is getting away with calling a human blessed one. They look at humans as lower than filth.

I’m upset they don’t speak English, would be a damn shame if the Arbiter wasn’t voiced by Keith David.

Holy fuck! That looks so good!

That's where the budget went I guess!

The way they filmed this was genius, it seems at first like our fears were confirmed and the human is incharge, but as time goes on and the conversation continues we see its quite the opposite and she's definitely a prisoner

This is actually my favorite scene from the show so far. Mercy is well animated, and seems to be subtly manipulating the human girl. I actually can’t wait for more

I wish the prophet was more involved hopefully next season he will be. But when I heard him speak, I immediately recognised the VA which if any one is a fan of Doctor Who. He voiced Davros.

Why does the prophet look like he's from the live action ninja turtle movies from the 90's?

The way he look is absolutely spot on in my opinion.

Maybe it’s the hair or something but he looks exactly like how I expected a live action prophets to look compared to the halo 2 anniversary version.

I like how they don't speak English like in the games it makes it more intimidating and alien like.

I think the most annoying thing to me thus far is the timeline discrepancy. The first episode is shown as occurring in 2552 (the same year as the first 3 games), when per lore Madrigal fell in 2528, soon after first contact at Harvest in 2525. I get that it's not canon but they could at least keep the timeline mostly the same. Oh that and Miranda Keyes being a counterpart to Halsey and apparently under ONI, as opposed to the commander of a UNSC warship.
