Bingo, worked just like the video shows...needed the extra step of hitting the red button on opener motor, then pressing 3 times on button.

Update. Hold the remote next to the Home link buttons inside the car. Not outside.

A key tip if not programming properly: Drive your car away from ur garage door outside the control range and then program as the video shows.

what a PAIN.... New Q5 owner, never had any issues with my other cars. Never got a fast blink holding down buttons 1 and 3. maybe because it;s a new car? I finally got a rapid blink pushing button 1, don't know how. than i went out side and held remote near front grill, next push program button on door opener. finally 30 min later it worked. WOW

That's like no matter what I do I cannot get hazard lights to blink I have tried putting remote in front of both headlights and the Audi symbol in the center my transmitter is underneath the driver side headlight though any other pointers?

Couldn't be easier... except anything would be easier. Car Manual instructions are different from these instructions. Car manual says to push and hold your "transmitter" (British for remote control) towards the inside mirror (how do you push something toward the mirror? Did they mean ensure the remote is within 6 inches or something?). I think it meant to hold the "transmitter" next to the mirror and then push the button.. doesn't matter.. it didn't work... another trip to the dealership I guess.

Anyone have a first gen Q7?? I followed instructions in the manual and checked this video. The flashers blink 3 times but the garage door will not move. Despite working fine with the aftermarket remotes

Does not work with Liftmaster 1265lmc, followed the sequence and got successful 3 emergency lights flash, but would not open the door. 2012 Q7
