Ubisoft doesn't get preorders for their games because they're usually $40 off within 2 months of release

"No one seems to notice Naoe at all"
Sounds like she's a great ninja then

Ubisoft's next step is to make the game always online, despite being a single player game.

It’s a shame how much better the Nintendo stores in Japan are as compared to their New York location. I was in Japan a few months back and the merchandise they had was leaps and bounds more unique and high quality than anything I’d seen in New York. Here in the states they just seem to work as a reseller for their online store/brand partners rather than carrying exclusive items.

Would love to see that change sometime soon.

Note that Ghost of Tsushima team were awarded a monument from the government for their game, in recognition of their great depiction of the island history.

Ubisoft is an industry icon... As one of the crappiest and most disgusting companies in the industry alongside Activision Blizzard and EA

Big companies buying indie studios is never good.

Hopefully with all the recent carnage, they stop doing

It’s funny how for AC Shadows, the thing that’s causing the most outrage is one of the protagonists being black

Instead of things that should’ve gotten the most outrage such as Ubisoft requiring you to be connected to the Internet in order to install the game via the physical version, locking missions behind paywalls, or charging over 100 dollars for an ultimate edition

This wouldn't be a problem if ubisoft wasn't constantly bragging about the authenticity of this game and about consulting historians. Ubisoft knew they had to oversell this game based on their past AAAA games.

This Ubisoft "apology" is a "Sorry you feel that way" than a "we're sorry we got some stuff wrong, but the people we collabed with said it was ok, so we're listening to them"

Ubisoft: "Gamers need to get comfortable not owning the games they buy."

Ubisoft: "Buy our next game now for $100+ to play it on the actual release date. Only $70 and we hold it ransom for three days."

Ubisoft: "Are you guys not preordering the game because of Yasuke? We're sorry. :("

Soulless corporation is also brainless, who knew?

This is a sorry to investors. Stock is tanking. They put all their eggs in this basket and they have to apologise for that. Everything else said was fluff.
Nothing said was sincere, and nothing will be done to change it.

I was in the Kyoto Nintendo store just 5 days ago and the Tokyo store the week before that. The Gatcha machine they have is more like a vending machine with a huge amount of storage. At that time they only had the Famicom keychains, but I was pretty pleased to get the original Famicom d-pad.
Those stores are amazing btw.

Ubisoft should just cancel that dumpster fire of a game....

That "consultant" ubisoft used is a fugitive in Japan for all but making up Yasuke.

If you don't know or don't care about the whole assassin's Creed thing, let me say this:

Assuming you are from the US, imagine Ubisoft coming out and saying they are using an actual historical figure for the first time: Nelson Mandela the legendary 40th president of the United States of America. They then say you can learn actual US history from the game and then show everything wrong. Oh and he is gay. (Nothing wrong with being gay but remember this is a historical person they are talking about)
Now if you wouldn't agree to that, well remember Mandela was an actual president, Yasuke was never a samurai.

All the "gamer" people don't want to play ubisoft stuff anymore, uplay and the in game shop scared them off, the in game shop stuff just feels like advertisements in a full game.

They need to remove the hip hop beats when you're playing as Yasuke. It throws the whole tone off and it's kind of racist.

What a shame about humble games, they just released Bo and they were the publisher of signalis :(

Hope everyone can get a job after this
