HOW TO Share Display ICC on macOS with multiple users & login?

Please give this video a like and subscribe if you are new!

This video will briefly go over Profile Distribution in various display calibration program and tell why it really does nothing in MacOS. And afterward will show you how to share the profile manually by moving the icc profiles to the root folder this way all users who have a separate login on the system will have access to the icc profile.

Users icc Profile folder location:
~/Users/Username/Library/ColorSync/Profile

Root icc profile folder location:
~/Library/ColorSync/Profile/Displays

Simply copy the icc profiles including all relevant display and paper profile from the Uses ColorSync folder to the Root ColorSync folder to distribute the profile on your Mac system with multiple users login.

Hi Art thanks for the video, is there any way in which the new profile can be automatically applied to each user without them having to select it?

I am using EIZO CG2420, so this is very helpful, but my question. Since I have the calibration to run on a schedule, will the calibration will have to run under each user on the same system or will the recalibration settings will be applied to all the user on that one system.

Several years ago IT at UIUC created a LaunchAgent to apply a specific display profile to each user at login. Do you think something like this is still possible?

Thanks for this. Question: if I run a hardware calibration of my SW271 on one Mac, can I then use the procedure you've described to copy the icc profiles to another Mac that uses the exact same display? Or do you need to calibrate the display independently with each Mac you use?
