I love how in Clancypasta stories characters do silly things like get really excited over randomly finding a VHS of someone cooking the same brand of pizza their mom brought them the day before, like that's the kind of little detail that's so real and relatable in a certain way, but which most authors don't bother to include in their stories.

I'm very disappointed we didn't find out why this multi-planar faceless shadow being was so interested in one family's mail and left behind a Bluetooth livestream space-time user interface device disguised as a VHS tape for the kid to find to observe the mischief, only to never bother them again.

I still remember taping shows on VHS, having the splice the commercials out, or recording over stuff we didn’t care for. Ah good days.

🇬🇧 I remember when video machines first came out & faced with buying a VHS or Bettamax, i bought the Bettamax.. mistake!
However, i still maintain that the Bettamax were the better machine & the tapes played better than VHS

My first film i bought..
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest cost me £72... incredibly expensive but seeing a film in the comfort of your own home was just amazing!
I had about 6 films & then the VHS took off!.

I still have that old machine & my 6 films but my new VHS machine afforded me much more variety & cheaper flms, i think just before CDs emerged, i had about 400 films plus another 200 self taped films & Documentaries.

Yes! I loved the VHS films, at least if they got stuck you could unravel them & spruce them up
But the so called miracle CDs supposedly scratch proof ( hah!)
Were rubbish.

Bring Back VHS.. wow i had some utterly Brilliant films.... sigh 😕
