I am reviewing cerulean blue, a beautiful watercolour paint from Daniel Smith in this art material review video. Daniel Smith has two cerulean blues. This is the non-chromium version.
In this review series I share colour swatches of watercolour paints that I have and how I use them in ink and wash sketch of shopfronts that I have sourced from Pinterest.

I love all the little buildings you paint. I'm here for those more than the colors, lol. I have 80 something Daniel Smith colors so I know pretty much how they all work. No, I don't use all of them. I have a main palette of Daniel Smith and Qor (their blues are cleaner and move vivid), a secondary palette of Daniel Smith, a palette each of Sennelier, Holbein and Mission Gold. My main palette also has two Winsor & Newton colors and one M Graham. The secondary palette also contains some Davinci and another M Graham. My Mission Gold is both sets of the pure pigment line. I have these palettes for the specific things they bring to the table and I only use a few, usually no more than six colors per painting, each time. I simply love color!

Thank you so much for this video! It has helped me choose cerulean blue over cerulean blue chromium. I had not been able to see the color in a panting so this was very helpful. Have you poured out the cerulean blue paint into a half pan? If you have, do you think it is easy to rewet?
