This is so true! Usually my POTS happens with standing up etc, but sometimes it just happens without warning. One day I was walking in the grocery store and Baron started alerting way more than usual. I brushed him off and then felt like I was walking in quicksand. He kept it up and helped me to the floor, I really didn’t feel it coming! I’m never out for long, but I was sitting against the shelves and he was laying on my legs and licking my face. I apologized for ignoring him!

Service Dog alerts FASTER than advanced medical cardiac equipment. FACTS!

I'm training a Springer Spaniel for my mom for diabetic alerting. She senses my mom's blood sugar changes 2 to 3 minutes faster than her glucose meter. The Springer is only 3 months old. ❤

Boosting this! We need everyone to see this who says people don’t need service dogs

I never realized there was so much ignorance and hatred around the simple act of having a survive dog

Dogs are absolutely incredible, and truly I believe service dogs are the best animals of all time. Really think about it, they are going above and beyond what anyone ever gave animals credit for. They are so smart, and they are so sensitive to their owners and things around them. We will never fully grasp how lucky we are to have animals like service dogs in our worlds

My hr service dog is alerting less and can’t have three dogs so time to move on to the semi-retired big service dog

My hr can get up to 180+ and my watch usually alerts slower

Yet assholes think that electronics are BETTER than dogs. They are just jealous we have trained dogs. Electronics will break or die or delay. But dogs nose knows no matter what. It's still amazing what they can do. My retired service dog was trained to alert to stomach acid. I have a stomach disorder that has been wreaking havoc on me for 19 years.

I think it's great that they have service dogs for this, I need one for O2 Sat, and I doubt they have them or if they did, I probably could not get one. The test did not seem accurate to me as she said the dog was trained for 130 and he alerted at 126 per the device, the device alerted at 131 which is a setting. You could set it for 126 also, but this also does not prove accuracy. Maybe you were at 130 and the pulse oximeter was inaccurate, but the dog was?

I mean couldn’t you just set the monitor to a lower heart rate. Then it would never be an issue.

Number one reason to have a service dog: attention

Alsi i call bs on this. No way a dog across the room is more reliable than a piece of tech literally designed for that one job

All I see is a working monitor. But it's good to have a back up just incase one fails

I just don’t get why you wouldn’t instead do the easy thing and get beta blockers. My heart rate used to be insane and we realized it was causing me anxiety because when your heart rate goes up you go into fight flight or freeze. Now I’m on beta blockers, my heart rate is normal, and I have a therapy dog.

If she got rid of her dog, how would she be able to make herself the center of attention 😂

I mean.. you could always look down and check. You shouldn’t need a dog to tell you to look at your watch 😬
