Those are the exact kind of pretty coins that I avoid.

With the colourised coins ... what happens with the colouring in the long term? Are they prone to fading, colour change, wearing off, blotching or do they last well?

I limited my premium fun coins to Charlie brown. I want one 1⃣ each of the non colorized. Other than that I keep to coins when on sale and generic rounds and bars. The ridiculous high premium one are good for gifts.😊

I have mostly low cost coins. The only overpriced are my Batman Bat-mobile and The Swamp Thing. I have a few I regret getting because even though they were on the lower end ($35-$40 per oz) they won't sell for that.

What I call "eye candy" always appeals to people even though 99% of those coins don't have any value over spot in the long run.

I started out as a stacker, but I've gone down a similar road to you in that I've started collecting semi-numismatic coins. However, I shy away from anything 'blingy' and only collect what I think will hold it's value over time. Of the five you display here, the rectangular dragon is the stand out 'coin' for me.

Stacking be damned; that Robin Hood coin is schmexy.

I'm a stacker, I'm a stacker, I'm a stacker!!!! That's what I tell myself until I buy the 3oz Darth Vader for nowhere near spot!! LOL!!

i has collecting PM for 15 years,
i understand how you view silver for the first year.
all i want to suggest is, keep 5% of your stack with what you wont let go, keep 95% with what you can let go without batting any eyes on a daily basis.

I only buy silver that is also a coin. I trust them more because I can see straight away that they have been minted by a state/country and have an authenticity about them. I can carry a few around with me if I need to and they also stack well. I’m stacking 2020 Brits at the moment. Do you know where the cheapest place is buy them? Thanks for the upload!

I gave up on buying silver coins all together. I buy 10oz and kilo silver bars only and buy gold for my coins.

I'm really tempted by some some of the artistic coins but then I have to ask myself is the purpose "investing or collecting?"

Buffaloes for weight, and the Queen's Beasts for collecting. Occasionally I'll pick up something that just looks nice to me. I'm not into the colorized coins. That 2 oz Egyptian themed coin is perhaps my favorite.

Some coins just go down in value the second you buy them, but for some reason we just have to have them. I can see why you bought these though there's some lovely stuff on display there. I think as long as you know when it's something you want vs a good investment you're all good.

I have the 1oz Robin Hood. Lovely coin, but I wish I just stuck to the Britannia's. I am a bit of a stickler for getting multiple of ones I like. I do however want the Dragon bar that you have. It's lovely and have seen it before.

I live in the states and was addicted to Maples. Still am. However, I’ve switched to eagles and buffalos now for liquidity purposes, though I don’t ever foresee myself getting rid of anything from my stack.
