For the application you are talking about, the C400 will only work as a 2 simultaneously tracking interface. The Fast Track C600 is probably the one you want to go with for the setup you are describing.

We have both the C400 and C600 for great prices on the UniqueSquared website.

We counted the S/PDIF inputs and MIDI in as those can be run alongside the combination XLR/TRS inputs.

There are only 2 mic inputs on the C400 so for tracking drums with 4 microphones you may want to look at something like the C600.

It is the latest upgrade for the Fast Track series, and there are some improvements that have been made. Will you be using it with Pro Tools?

You can find this in the C400 User Guide:

Plug your keyboard, mixer, or other audio source into either the Input 1 or Input 2 Line (TRS) inputs on your Fast Track C400. If your source is stereo (such as a stereo keyboard or the stereo output from a mixer), connect the left channel (often the white plug) to Input 1, and right channel (often the red plug) to Input 2.

Yes it will work with Mac OS all the way up to Mountain Lion. You can use it with FL Studio and you can setup the multi button to be used in place of keyboard commands using the included control panel software.

going to buy these in a couple of days but, does it work on mac os lion? can i use it as a interface on Fl Studio and still use de multi button on the c600? i have a partition and just want to record vocals on pro tools Le in mac os .. and in windows 7 64 bit work in Fl Studio is it posible?

If you purchase the C400 with the full version of Pro Tools you will receive an iLok. Most third party plugins require an iLok.
