How to Use Google Translate

Google Translate allows you to translate from a list of 141 languages.

You can use Google translate online here:

You can translate by typing the text, pasting from another document or website, or simply use the microphone to speak out loud. Once you input your initial language, you can choose any one of 141 languages and Google Translate will translate them almost instantly.

There is a speak icon as well and it will read the translation back to you. You can favorite your translations as well and refer back to them at a later time.

I have a Chinese girlfriend who can't speak English and we use google translate a lot, but it doesn't translate accurately, a lot of the messages are filled with errors. it only has traditional Chinese or simplified Chinese in the list of languages to choose from. am I using it wrong or is there a better translator I can download?

You don’t have to read anything again if you copy and paste text and translate it to the same language.

For some reason I can no longer copy and paste into google translate. Have always been able to do that but this technique recently stopped working for some reason. When i go to paste nothing happens unless I do so when I open a pages on my Mac but then I still can not paste on to Google translate, Help!!!!

I'm very frustrated! Do I need tech skills to get my videos translated into English United States so I can understand what is going on. I happened to get by in French, but I would learn so much more if I didn't have to I didn't have to pick it apart to get what I think it Means first. Why it doesn't always show the option to listen to the text? I just pasted an english text then translated it to spanish but it only shows a microphone so I can talk to it and keep writing but it doesn't show the button to hear the voice reading the text. I don't know how to fix that.
