4k recording is limited to only 5 minutes not only to the Z2 but also with phones with 4k such as Note 3, and Galaxy S5 because of heating issues also. I tried it also on my rooted LG G2 with Xadabbeb's camera mod with 4k recording, and after 5 minutes it flashed a warning message "UHD video recording available up to 5 minutes to maintain recommended temperature. Video recording will close."

I agree with you about the review.. I have the z2 for about 4 days now.. The ringer low and notifications is very low.. I also noticed that you have to touch the screen a couple of times not always I don't know if it's a lag problem.. Also you can't use all the camera features in 20 m. Keep up the great work

Guys don't worry about 4K overheating and the speakers they were fixed in Android 4.4.4 update. And it will be better in 5.0.2

14:10 On the official sonymobile website and Sony ads, it's actually "The world’s best camera and camcorder *in a waterproof* smartphone”. I think that’s a very clever statement
So Sony didn’t claim it’s better than other flagship phones; and unlike the Z2 with IP5 *8* certification, the S5 (IP6 *7*) isn’t advertised as waterproof, it’s water resistant. Again, Sony used the term “waterproof” based on Strategy Analytics.

Watch out for the self-cracking!  I had my phone for two days and heat caused the rear glass to crack!

Two of the cons are not real cons. I don't see a need for them to remove the notification that the data has been disabled, it would help if one accidentally disables it.... That is subjective. Secondly, there are a lot of us who wished we had flaps covering the charging port and other ports when we see the amount of debris lodged inside them. These are picked up everyday, in pockets, by wind, etc. So I can't see why a flap covering it is "annoying". I think soon, everyone will start covering charging ports with flaps. That is protection. Also it makes the phone's look better with clean lines all around. Only the headphone jack I think should be left open.... But all this is just my opinion...

Yeh it's true that you can only record 3-5 mins in 4K however all 4K recording phones have this limit, the same holds true for the Galaxy S5 and Note 3.
From a technical point of view I think the Z2 is the next best phone this year behind the new G3 it's got the premium feel of the htc One, with an equal if not better performing camera to the S5. So you're conclusion of 'not quite there' is a bit strange to me..

I feel its dependand on your device, all three Z2s i have had hand with seem to have different issues, One Z2 has 0 flaws and even doesent heat even after 5 minuites of recording in 4k, the other two Z2s got warm just doing simple things and one even has a huge gap at the top right big enough to fit a card

My Z2 that i own has all the the issues of Z2s plus more and i find it anoying how theses early batches have these issues

Newer devices from newer batches do not have any of these issues
