Again I say to all cattle haulers
And truckers alike." You are a
Legend in your time and the years to come.
You devote blood
Sweat n tears to keep it all in place and the world around you. So I say thank you and
God bless, one day I hope to
Do the same...last of the
True Cowboys"

Damn what a song. Great music. I wished I had had that to listen to back in the 60's & 70's when I was hauling fats or hell even up to the day I finally retired in 07. Being an old fucker I didn't have a nice long hood in those days, I just set up over that left front tire & did some serious truckin.

I miss driving these old trucks . My 1st fast truck was a 1979 international 4070 Eadle with a 400 Cummins and 13 speed double over . I thought I was cool with chrome 6in straights and aluminum buds on the front and chrome wheels on the back . 106 mph when I was 28 in 1983 . Just a crazy kid then . I drove for Big R once I got some sense . Now I drive for Bullfrog. By God's grace I survived . 42 years of trucking . I got 3 years to go and I can pass my job on to someone else who van appreciate a good job with ABF

My dad was a old time trucker I remember his big red Pete cruising down the highway at 100 one foot out the window radio cranked up trying to get some miles before the sunrise I was just a little kid I’ll remember it forever and it’s all I ever wanted to do since I could remember I spent my whole time as a child barely seeing over the dash watching the exits signs under the moonlight one day I’ll get there and I wish I can be half the trucker my dad was he was the best there was and I hope to carry that on

I don’t miss the industry, the way it has devolved, due to the Government’s destroying the profits and fun. I do miss left-lane trucking in free-running trucks (the ones that didn’t have their balls taken out) with a big radio, and my fellow real drivers. We enjoyed so much back then when there was more freedom. We’d grill meat behind our trailers at truck stops and enjoy some beer together and talk about family, experiences on the road, etc., when we could. I’ve been off the road for ten plus years now, but still have quality relationships with drivers whom I’ve met on the road from all across the United States. Be safe drivers! Cheers 🥂!
