Thank you for your suggestions! We had the custard pudding in Asakusa today and it was the best! We wouldn’t have known to look for it without your video!

For maps you may also want to consider downloading offline maps from google when connected to wifi so you can use freely when out if no internet 👍

Thank you for another informative, fun, and engaging video Toshi! This is one of your best videos with so much great information for people coming to or thinking about visiting your beautiful country. I can not thank you enough for your hard work and for your time putting together these travel to Japan videos, I have been telling EVERYONE I know how lucky I am to have found you and booked our time together in Japan. I can't believe the time to come to Japan is almost here for me! I do have a question, I seen another video about the YEN is being upgraded with new security features, I've already received 70, 000 YEN from American bank, you don't think I will have a problem using the older version of Yen? Maybe I could just use it to preload a Pasmo/Suica. Can't wait to see you!

I will continue watching the video tomorrow, stopping just before we explore Osaka. You have me exhausted just watching this—the trouble of being a senior citizen.

Great video! I was thinking maybe to check out Nara instead of Hiroshima.
Even if its a very important historical site, i think me and my girlfriend would prefer something "lighter"

Also from personal experience - *Do not buy a portable wifi device*, I've been to Japan twice and relied on this method, while my friend used eSIM.
I was often throttled in speeds, had sudden bursts of usage (even though I'd turned all automations off) and the battery life is really horrid EVEN on the X-company's "best" device

Meanwhile, my friend never experienced a single issue with his eSIM, and more often than not, he had better coverage and speeds than me :)

My wife is a devout Buddhist she want to visit most of the Japan Daibutsu and Daikannon. So far we saw the Daibusu in Kamura. We will visit Japan this September for 10 days, we will base in Tokyo and Osaka and then each day we go to see one “Big” status. Could you make the video on Japan Daibutsu & Daikannon. Or post a list of all “Big” status that we can make daily trip from Tokyo and Osaka. Thanks You.

Thanks Toshi, I'm going there at the end of August, going straight from Narita airport to Kyoto for 7 days, than Osaka for 7 days, and the last week before my flight back in Tokyo. Any pointers going from the airport to Kyoto?

Oh no, until now I thought that based on your experiences abroad you have seen enough examples how mass tourism helps to change a society. It is clear when the point will be reached where “foreigners” will no longer be accepted. As an example, look at hotspots like Venice, Barcelona, Dubrovnik or Mallorca in Europe. Your tips are aimed at an audience that is only now coming in masses because the yen is at its lowest point. So you have done your country a disservice. But you can secure your additional income by clicking multiple times on YouTube.
