This really highlights the issue with megachurches. Not only should be able to get a meeting with an Elder for just about anything at any time, they should know you. How can you shepherd someone who you don't know? You can't.

Thanks for sharing. If these allegations are true, this is very sad. If these allegations are false, this is very sad. Proverbs 18:17 ESV "The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him." I will be waiting to hear Platt and the church's response.

The minute I attend a church and I cannot have access to communicate with the leader without the multiple gate keepers and bureaucrats, that's my sign to walk away because nothing good is happening. Not a full proof plan of course but as congregants we should be able to speak to the leader of the church aside from only seeing them on Sunday to preach.

My old church marched in downtown Richmond, VA with BLM. We were so upset with the way the leaders handled all of this. We had many honorable police officers in our church and they all left after the church belittled them openly. It was sad to see how the pastors created division that had never been there before.

I watched David Platt in the very beginning of my walk which started in end of 2018. I stopped watching him approximately 2020. At that time, I belonged to a SBC church which had very sound biblical teaching. I kept seeing things about Platt that did not sit right with me and stopped watching him. It is too bad because he is gifted. Its a tale as old as time, the love of money is the root of all evil.

So happy I have no idea who David Platt is. I love my biblical preachers, Adrian Rogers, Charles Stanley, David Jeremiah, and others. Preach God's word, preach Jesus. Nothing more, nothing less. I love all my brothers and sisters in Christ. I don't care what color you are, your ethnicity, your past. We love and worship the same Savior. You are my brothers and sisters 🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️

We have almost zero discernment in our churches. Elders should have read a few pages of his books and told their congregations, "Stay away. You shall not read this." His book RADICAL (gnarlyyy will destroy your soul, to say nothing of sapping all of your joy in the Lord. Unfortunately, I was converted in 2012, so this stupid book had a terrible influence on my infant faith, vicariously (as many I knew read it, promoted it, and were into it and his "secret church" nonsense). He does not understand basic law/gospel distinctions. His material has been off limits and prohibited for all under my care.
