In this video I go over how I swapped a set of 2015 rear Camaro seats into my 1971 Chevelle. Quite honestly one of the most easiest installs I've done on this build so far.

Man, thanks for the video. I decided to scratch the GTO seats I was originally going with in the 71 Chevelle. Seeing this video I decided to go with the camaro seats...front and back. I know the front seats sit kinda high but I may have my little brother cut the headrest down some or take it out and just reupholster the back rest of the seat without the headrest. You continue to motivate me with these videos...keep them coming.💯

Very creative! It looks really good so far! I am doing a resto-mod on a 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix, which is just pretty much a stretched (in front of the firewall) GM A body (Chevelle and GTO guys have been using slightly shortened GP frames for replacements because they came boxed - like convertibles - from the factory). I have been looking for replacement leather seat covers for my damaged and worn out leather seats (was an original option in my car), but your seat swap video is making me re-think the process for my car. I think the 2015 Camaro seats would be infinitely more comfortable and add to the general resto-mod look for my car. 👍

70, 71 and 72 are identical bodies. The difference is in the front quarters and bumpers.

Did you ever get this completed? I have the 2016 camaro seats I just got and want to get them installed in my ‘72. I also have the 2015 bmw coupe seats for the front. Basically doing the exact same thing inspired by you. Trying to find out how I can keep the bmw seats from sleeping. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Also, could you post pics or vids of the back seat frames completely installed

You could tunnel the backrest and bolster with some angle iron and make a pass through.

That seat belt plate on the tunnel, is that off center of the tunnel? Mine is off towards the driver's side to be even on both sides from the sides of the car...that center hole lines up center of the package tray on my car so I'm confused as to if it should be centered on the tunnel...thoughts?

Mr. Griff I'm curious about the front of the bottom post of the seat. Those clips you show that are what the old seat used to hold down the bottom seat, they don't get in the way? Do you not feel them through the foam? Maybe i need a little more detail on how the front of the seat works. Thanks, btw i have a 71 cutlass that i'd like to try this on

Just a quick question what did you end up doing for the rear seat belts. I am ding the same swap but was wondering about putting in the Camaro shoulder belts in the rear.
