The most subtle, yet most horrifying detail in Twilight Princess is that after Malo Mart opens, the masses of random NPCs strolling about town suddenly start carrying around Malo-branded shopping bags. The fixation becomes systemic.
You will buy it. You are smart. **You will shop at Malo Mart.**

It's kinda incredible how in the same game, TP has amongst the darkest and most disturbing themes of the franchise, but also a level of silliness that's quite unmatched in other games.

I remember buying this armor for 598/600 ruppees and getting to look at it for a whole total of a single second before it turned grey and became full body iron boots.

I don't think there's ever been a more vibes-accurate fan animation for the Legend of Zelda than this. This is exactly what experiencing Malo Mart is like in game. From the morbid curiosity of the music, to the mesmerizing NPCs who seem to be both enthralled and self loathing their being there, to the fact Chudley is wearing a fucking phonogram speaker on his head screaming garbled Japanese in revere at you, to how immediately eye catching the magic armor is. All this is missing is Midna hanging out on Link's back or in his shadow sharing in his visible confusion and enthralling, but I guess the dog is a good substitute for that.
