AbuAdiyat Tapered Shock Leader Review

Disclaimer: This is an unbiased review and lines could vary between different batches. I have purchased this myself and this is what I have received so this is what I have tested. Break tests and other specs vary depending on how manufacturers test their lines.

Here I review a fishing line to see if it really lives up to its advertised specs.

Can I recommend this as a shock leader? I can not. The line segment that is supposed to be 70 lbs broke at less than that.

However, if you will be using this with lead weights up to 3 oz, then it should hold up just fine.

That's why I feel it's important to know the actual break test (not the advertised specs) of lines so i can use them where it seems fit for purpose.
I only use 15-20lbs lines, with 18 lbs as my personal "sweet spot," as I believe this is sufficient for most fish species that I can catch from the shore.

I will be doing more fishing line reviews as well as terminal tackles such as swivels, bait clips, and many more.
