My husband and I separated after 3 years of marriage. He wouldn’t divorce me, we just lived our lives separate for a while. He did him. I did me. If you two really weren't meant to be, separating when the child is very young is the best thing you can do. I was traumatised by my parents throughout my life, I used to beg my Mother to leave my father. It was a childhood of screaming, toxic energy, name calling, abusive patterns. They finally separated once I reached 19 but wow I think my life would have been far better and theirs too if they had just been honest that their was no marriage left.

When you went to Copenhagen you had this different air to you, like your shoulders were just with less weight on them. I didn’t comment on it because it wasn’t my business + didn’t want to start something that would potentially get the comments going.

It’s weird how so many of us females can sense what another female is expressing without saying one word, it’s sort of still somehow communicated with the body language without intention. Might be to do with us often being raised to be attentive of others?

Sam I just want to say I'm so proud of you for embracing this period of change, this is your blossoming and it's going to be hard but so worth it. I've just gone through a break-up of a 5-year relationship and I'm finding out how to be more true to myself in sooo many areas of my life; as a black woman, as someone creative and someone who has lacked self esteem & struggled with my mental health for a long ass time and cared too much about what others have thought that I forgot I mattered and that I deserved to be treated well. I admire your courage for leaving. People are so rushed in getting married when they conceive and then stay in an unhappy marriage because of a child.
