Hot Take: I think N-Series is *okay.* It's not amazing, but it's not terrible. The proprietary dart DRM sucks, but it takes all of 10 minutes to trim the rear nub off the darts, remove the air restrictor and make them much more accurate, plus a new caliber (in this case 14mm) opens up a lot of game design opportunities.

Few years ago nerf was at its absolute peak with Rival, zombie strike, and N strike elite. Even mega. Now it’s Fortnite, Roblox, and now N series. The sprinter looks okay but imo I feel like the N series sole existence was to try and fill the gap that the Ultra series and Elite 2.0 made.

I remember the the hype around a new Nerf blaster back in September 2009. I was still in elementary school back then but the blaster looked super cool. I remember calling it the "9/9/09" since we only had the release date to go off of.

Edit: it was the Raider CS-35. The ones from when I was a kid were a lot cooler, I remember one of my friends having a blaster that was effectively a heavy machine gun
