I combined a few pumpkins once. The landlord had carved some pumpkins and threw the insides in the manure spreader. Next year they were growing in my soybean field. This was before Roundup Ready and they survived. I saw pumpkins coming in the header and for a second wondered if maybe I needed a little more sleep.

I'd spend $2 an acre over $60 any day. That's like us we double crop soybeans after wheat in late June to mid July . The double crop beans only yield 15 to 35 bushels an acre compared to 40 to 90 bushels they could do an acre if we plant them in April or May. but every bushel over 8 is profit . Great work !

The crop list is standard on all gen 4 displays so it’s nice to have those things in there when you planter, spray, cultivate, or pull your Amanda’s pnut combine to harvest.

Our reds are going to end up around 4 bushel. Tough year again. North of Glasgow

Hey Mike

The cutter bar won’t flex “UP” where you’re worried about clipping the fingers off your reel.

Unlike hydro flex, the cutter bar on a HD50F will only DROOP it will not flex upwards, the header flexes upwards with the wings and allows the cutter bar to droop down to maintain ground contact. This will prevent any conflict between cutter bar and reel fingers. It also maintains the relationship between cutter bar and reel

😂😂😂 Mike that is the funniest thing I've heard about. Thank you for the laugh

I agree with your thinking about still combining poor crops. I’ve cut full quarter sections that amount to 20 bales. Still better then nothing. Gotta do it

Thanks for taking time to explain that especially when you need to go north asap.

Nice liked the cost explanation and the mechanical explanation, very nice, it shows you arn't afraid to learn about your machine and its settings. information is power/key

I find it quite Fascinating how different a British harvest is so much more thicker and you can see the dirt where you are

You need to call your dealer n tell him you picked up some custom work this winter down south n what settings he recommends for pineapples and if John Deere recommends filler plates😂😂😂!

If you choose orange or lemon option the combine will stand up right on its back wheels.
Next corn harvest choose pop corn option and put your helmet and goggles on....🍿🍿🍿

I feel left out. My combine doesn't have those settings ☹️
Although I am getting hungry watching that list scroll by 😃

Mike, your center is fixed and both sides flex from the center point. Just an engineering absolute.
