Num 5, signal bars = distance is partially true, they show the rssi dbm value of the connected cell tower which is proprtional to distance but does get affected by obstacles, rf noise and environmental signal reflections aka multipathing

The signal bar is how strong your connection to the tower is, not the speed of that connection. So it's closer to distance in practice but at the same time not.
