Nicesky F35 Pusher Mods

Converted the F-35 from underpowered EDF to perfectly powered pusher configuration. Much faster and more efficient, runs perfectly on 3000 3S but can 3000 4S. Max current on 3S is 34A, would be 45A on 4S.

It looks like a totally different flying airplane! Nice job!

Great mod! That anemic and noisy OE EDF was a distraction to having fun while flying.

Wooo! Great flight and onboard footage. And yep, another perfect illustration of why I've never bothered with EDFs!... Clearly nothing wrong with the model aerodynamically. That said - if you want a halfway point between a prop's efficiency and an EDF's sound/feel, in addition to the whistles, you could maybe swap in a higher-kV motor and a smaller multi-blade prop. But your current setup will still fly best from a non-aesthetic point of view.

Manufacturers should first send you the model before starting mass production :o)
100% improvement!

I do enjoy pusher jets mostly flat wing. Have looked at some molded pusher jets. It looks like you have a good one, happy to see you getting some use of the bird. Have fun, thanks for the update.

Sweet! Nice conversion! Now you have a REAL Parkjet ;-) Flies much better. See you in the Air!

Excellent! It just needed the Newton Engineering upgrades.Doesn't take away from the appearance in the air either.

EDF jets in the 70mm category w similar wingspan and retracts use at least 60A on 6S w a nice EDF 12 blade unit.

Way underpowered because of cheap ass electronics. Use a 3300mah 6S w a minimum 40C, 80A and it will move using retracts.
I still like very much how you converted it to pusher prop. I cant imagine this thing on 6S, a rocket using a pusher prop.

good job!

Waiting for Ducted Fanboy to appear again, telling us how wrong we dear....lol..Good job Andrew, so much better and much longer flight times too..One of those cheap Hobbywing Giros would really make it groove around the sky.

Great engineering! That thing will GO now.

Andrew, you have emancipated the weak and made the prop powered jet fly better; even with a near perfect axial roll. Cheers.

Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for the education.

Wow! So much better. Without the retracts you can use bigger lipos.

Flies really good now, has a great silhouette in the sky when turning

Thats interesting but would of liked to see you try to improve the EDF performance.
Since you have a prop maybe you could do thrust vectoring with something like the Flight Test thrust vector kit.
