VFX with Natron - E0086 - Eye Effects Part 1 - Simple Glowing Eyes

In this episode we are going to explore a quick and relatively simple way to give a character some glowing eyes using the roto node. While there are many ways we can achieve this, sometimes a simple straight ahead roto is often the most effective solution, particularly now that Natrons roto's use curved animation motion. An additional note, as it wasn't shown in this video, is to fade the eye glow in or out when the eye is open or closed one only needs to animate the Merge2 nodes mix control between 0 when the eyes are closed and 1 when the eyes are open in roughly 1 or 2 frames. Lastly this effect is the foundation to doing more complex eye effects, and in the next episode we will look at why, in my opinion, this is the best option for doing eyes in Natron.

Hey new to this channel its great trying to follow your steps but everything seems reversed so I have to connect the roto for it to be seen it won't do it separate when I connect the node to the merge I also get a message saying to change my fps from 24 to 25 help
