Okay so I’m Greek on my mom’s side and kids at school made fun of me a lot for some of our customs that they didn’t understand (her maiden name was weird to them, we called my grandfather “Papou” which sounded to them like “poopoo, ” I told them I got two Easter’s because of Greek Easter and they thought I made it up). So when Hercules came out I was so excited because I was gonna get a Greek princess! When I first watched I was so disappointed Meg wasn’t nice and kind like the other princesses that came before her. But as the movie unfolded, and I saw how much she sacrificed for Hercules, I was thrilled and pumped that the Greek Disney Princess was so cool! I eagerly awaited for Megara costumes, dolls and merch to come and for Meg to be the next princess so I could show off how cool being Greek was to the kids at school. But it never came. I’m still waiting for her official princess title to come because She is so cool, brave, and honorable - she deserves it!

it was a great movie, but in the actual mythos Zeus is the most evil and fucked up of the gods. Hades is actually one of the best ones. Real role-reversal.
