Here’s what I love about your channel. You get to the point. You do what we clicked on the video to watch. You don’t fill a buster with a bunch of BS.. hats off to you sir.

I like how you went through it intelligently you explained everything you investigated everything. A regular mechanic would tell you that you now need a full rebuild based on what he saw on the oil pan. I like that Alex is a professional and he was able to investigate evaluate and repair.

Good for you breaking down and having someone else do that diff. For that money it’s totally worth it. I was expecting it to be like $2500. I always want to do things myself almost to a fault. Sometimes it is better to just have something done by a specialist. Not worth it to fight with something for several days to save a little bit of money.

I did this with my father on a 1986 Honda prelude with 300k when I went back to college 30 yrs ago. It was still running 5 yrs later until the guy we sold it to died from a heart attack. We put a $650 automatic transmission midway through college. My father has since passed but I learned a lot about working on cars when I worked with him in the 1980s. Sadly his auto repair shop, Fred’s Foreign Car Service died with him… I didn’t stay on. I love this channel.

Man, I watched hundreds of pulls but THIS ONE is the most exiting. This car has its name right, I want one. When You floored it this black brick just clawed the street and was gone.
Not even a lot of tire spin, it grabbed and went. Awsome! I love torqe! What an awsome car. It don´t seem bloated, good visibility, nice look- please keep the opitcs.
There are way too little 90´s lookers around. Good Job, Mate!

Love the stock wheels. I hope you just refresh them. If you change them go for ones with the same look, maybe larger. Rotiform does awesome stock looking replacements with larger diameter and width.

I love your “while we have it apart let’s clean/replace/rebuild everything in the area” mentality. Definitely beats replacing something only to have to remove the new parts to go deeper within to replace a different part.

Note to Editor: We all know Alex is a car wizard but you also do an amazing job. Watching the outro's really puts into perspective how much work must go into making a good video. Also love the digital 80's theme intro! Great work all around! Can't wait till the next drop!

Its funny how Alex take good care and the cars keep breaking down, meanwhile Dankpods substitutes oil and coolant with Nutella or Pilk (pepsi + milk) or Egg Nog.. and his cars refuses to die 😂😂

Fun fact I learned about zinc additive! It doesn't actually reduce friction, it increases it. But it reduces wear. Learned this from an oil analysis guy on another channel.

I love that you reuse hardware lol I’m a natural gas compressor mechanic and it’s common practice for us to reuse good bolts on internal engine parts and just replace bearings on engines that run 24/7 at full load

Alex a little trick for doing a quick fix on a rubber hose is to get your hose ends butted against each other and run 2 pieces of wire between the hose clamps at 180 degrees to each then tighten the clamps, check to see if there's any leaks. Once that's ok then wrap your wire end's together at both sides and tighten them. This will act as a check against the pipes sliding off a smooth pipe surface until you get a chance to replace the pipework. Enjoyable as always Alex and a wonderful New Year to you and the family

Not sure if they are still available but back in the day, I Installed manual brake rear wheel cylinders to help prevent rear wheel spin when building boost to launch. God I so miss my 92 Typhoon!

From all the videos and all the channels I’m daily following, you’re the one who motivates me the best with your content and your crazy fixes for cheap. I’m always learning new things
Keep it up, love your humor so much
Never stop doing what you do Alex, thanks for being 100% honest with your ups and downs because we all know mechanics can be exhausting and frustrating but also really rewarding

Judging by how many videos you up load Alex, I am just going to say it. You and Max are hard working folk. It is always very entertaining. Thanx to you both.

Chalk and string is what we used in backyard mechanic ability for the initial alignment center of the front wheels after changes to steering linkage. For the U joints, we just used old sockets and a sledge hammer. Would have been nice if my 17 year old young life had access to the tools and a garage like this guy. But, that was 1987, times were a little different in a poor neighborhood back then.
