Great video Jake. Parental contributions towards first time buyer purchases are now at a record high and those without this option are sadly having to earn way over the average salary just to afford the average priced house.

With prices being so high, and soon interest rates going up and up, i dont think i'l ever be able to afford a property. Its a double hit

Great to see you back Jake. It's such a catch 22 which first time buyers find themselves in. To buy now at an all time high while interest rates creep up. Or keep the savings for a property in the bank - gain some extra interest and wait out for the market to cool??

Thank you for your work, Jake! What is you opinion on the crazy amount of abandoned buildings, which can be restored and sold, but the govt (and building companies) just chooses to build new buildings, and let the old structures rot. This is just sends me in pure rage.

Hello, Could someone explain to me. My sister and husband are multi millionaires and her husband is an energy trader. He told me not to buy a house in 2022 as a housing crash may come soon or in the near future.
I don't have a huge deposit, only about 20K
They said when I do buy a home, they would be garantors for me,
Does anyone know how it works to have a garantor? Is it garanteed that I could get a house with a small deposit and my sister/husband as garantors?

As a "potential" first time buyer, living with my parents...I'm trying to decide if I should buy a house now, or hold out for a bit. I'm worried if I was to buy now, that when I come to sell I will lose out....and if I should hold out....how long for!! Bloody tough this!! I love in Sheffield btw. Anyone got any advice for me I'd appreciate it a lot.
