Nightwing is surrounded by emotionally constipated people who live and breathe their work.
I like how despite being a hero herself, Starfire gives him a breath of fresh air. He can be funny and not get emotionally backhanded, he can nerd out to her about languages or things he found neat.

I like how he speaks to her gently and humanly, while other people might not since she’s visibly extraterritorial.

When they’re written well, I love these characters and their happiness.
