I really value your advice as I hate housework but you really motivate me with your down to earth advice, empathy and kindness.

Wow, Angela! I do not understand how EVERYONE IN THE WORLD with the time to watch this is not watching this. I 'm old. It is only my house I want to keep clean, but I still learn SO MUCH! I wouldn't think of washing a swiffer duster, but hey, good to know. I prob. wouldn't use it until it looked like that either, but also, good to know. But, yeah, I wouldn't want someone else's dirt in my home -- even before COVID.

Here at my senior apartment complex we had an issue with housekeepers bringing in vacuums that had been used in other households.
It was found that the vacuum cleaners were spreading bed bugs! Management made a rule that no outside vacuum could be brought in ...that each household had to have their own. Success! No more bed bug infestations.
I can see where reuse of Swiffers could cause the same issue.

I love love love swifter disposable extended handle. I can catch cobwebs and dust baseboards and no dust flies back into my face. Best thing is that it can be used behind TV’s and around other cables and reach tight spaces.

As a house cleaner I tend to prefer using a soft furniture cloth with lemon oil depending on the type of finish or material of course… for glass I use a ever is fine spritz of water and clean cotton cloth to buff dry; certain finishes such as unsealed marble or black lacquer pianos I use a dry dusting cloth for. It feels like that bit of oil truly removes dust and keeps it out of the air preventing its resettling on furniture. I do love the swifters at my own house and I sometimes wash and rehabilitate with a wire pet brush lol… it works reasonably well so I can put off purchasing another box a bit longer.

I'm just wanting to learn how to clean my home better, easier and faster. I'm going to get some swiffer dusters the next time I'm out. THank you for this.

I accidentally washed a Swiffer dusting pad with my cleaning rags. It came out looking different but still usable. After washing, don't put in dryer. You can use these for really dirty jobs if you don't want to use them on furniture anymore but honestly I use them everywhere and have washed them about 20 X before having to discard them I'm saving a lot of money too. Of course if they are super dirty or have bugs on them then dispose

Swiffer brought some ease into our house cleaning. Yes, we could use a vacuum extension. But we really aren’t able to get on ladders to clean the top of the China hutch or the fan blades. We are seniors who shouldn’t be climbing on top of anything

Leaving this here in case it helps anyone else: the Great Value brand Swiffer knockoff dusters aren't very good. They tend to get stuck on things and drop fibers. They also don't pick up dust as well. They work okay on perfectly flat surfaces that are lightly dusty (maintenance clean) and to knock dust bunnies off ceilings, but not anything heavily dusty (deep clean, fan blades) or dust that has contacted moisture (humid climates, bathroom) or odd shaped objects (dishes, knickknacks, anything sharp).

I was looking at my swiffer duster and it is DIRTY, wondering if I could wash it and reuse it? I have a lot of dust in my home and I just love using my swiffer. Thank you so much for this video because now I'll buy some refills.

Great video as always, Angela!

I was wondering if you could make a video, or maybe a response through here, how do you go about 'speed cleaning' the bathroom?

One of our clients sheds a lot of hair, and we know they're not from his head because he's bald 😁, and right noe we don't have a great system of dealing with all the hair and spend too long cleaning the hair up.

Usually, our process consists of vacuuming last, but we've tried vacuuming first and then again at the end.

Thank you.

My dusters & handle are blue. Guess they're really old? Lol.

Question: I suppose it would be fine to wash & reuse if it were just for your own home/personal use?
