Join along for this fun lapidary video where we break out our flat lap lapidary machine and start grinding the husk off of six Lake Superior agate nodules to expose their hidden inner and amazing details! By grinding away the husk and exposing their inner works of art, we get to be the first ones EVER to see what in the world is going on inside these agate gem stones! Big thanks to Rockhound79 for sending these over to play with, I have many of my own we will be doing the same to in the future!

loved this video, I think this is the perfect balance between keeping the agates intact as much as possible and revealing some of the banding without cutting them and structurally changing them forever

Hmmm 🤔...
We always just ground the banded side and sold them for jewelry because they turned out amazing 🤩.

Wow, what a cool idea Taylor, never thought to grind off the husk. Love the shapes, banding, patterns, eyes and colors. Cool video man! Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to try this myself, just need to find some LS agates first!
