Agplane Action Air Tractor Crop Duster Nebraska Airailimages

It's a great impromptu air show over farmlands each season as agplanes swoop down and make steady passes just above the fields, climbing and banking steeply to make an adjacent pass. Watch as this turbine Air Tractor pilot works magic northeast of Grand Island, Nebraska, in July 2024.

Great video! Takes me back to when I was about 15 at this time of year. I would get up at the crack of dawn and ride my bike from my house about a mile and a half to an old farm with a grass strip on it that a crop duster service used as a satellite base for operations outside their main airport. I'd wait for Wayne, their handling guy, to show up in the truck and the plane(s) would fly in as the sun came up. Then I'd get front row seat of operations until they were done. Sometimes it was late afternoon into the evening ops. I had my first ride in a Super Cub with those guys from that strip. I got 'the business' meaning, the Boss took me on a ride like we were working a field. It was the best ride I've ever had in an airplane in my lifetime and I turn 59 tomorrow. Thank you for this video and the memories.

Ag aircraft are like the modern version of old single seat warbirds. In fact Air Tractor has one used in military application. This also takes me back to our farm in the late 60’s early 70’s watching Pawnees, AgCats, and old converted Stearmans treating our farm and the neighboring farms. Great fun for a little boy 5-10 years old. Thanks Mr. Johnsen!!

I wonder how many "Gs" he was pulling in his turns? Those were some tight turns at the end of a run. For years I would watch them flying the fields when I lived in the country.
