Some people swear to this thingy that it makes a difference between being able to copy a weak signal or not.
I only had a strong signals to try. The other stations were from towns about ten km left and right to my QTH. I was also perfectly readable with and without the sleeve.
So will have to try it somewhere else with weak signals sometime.
