The link between the Russia-Ukraine war and Hamas-Israel conflict

Former US Army vice chief of staff General Jack Keane has discussed how Russia’s war with Ukraine is linked to the Israel-Hamas conflict.

“We have four adversaries of the United States and many other countries in the world – that is China, Russia, Iran and North Korea,” General Keane told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

He said the countries are all “helping each other”.

“Their common interest and goal is they believe the United States is in decline and it’s no longer capable of providing the global leadership that it once did in concert with other like democracies.

“They believe it’s time to take advantage of that – they perceive American global weakness.”

He also sits on the boards of Cyalume Technologies Inc., which manufactures military chemical lights and other technology deployed on the battlefield in Afghanistan, and the Institute for the Study of War, a think tank that publishes defence policy proposals with the aim of “developing the next generation of national security leaders” and is backed by CACI International Inc., General Dynamics, and other defence contractors.
