FBI launches criminal investigation into 23 Chinese swimmers for doping

The swimmers tested positive for a banned substance in 2021, but were allowed to continue competing. Eleven of the swimmers who were allowed to compete at the Tokyo Olympics are also set to compete in Paris at the end of July.

Also, since an American athlete testified that he doesn’t feel the global doping agency treated him fairly, can a Chinese athlete also testify the same thing?

The FBI investigation, with Michael Phelps, and the backing of Congress, seems like the outcome of the findings is already predetermined.

I want to highlight a few points here. The timing of this very old incident being resurfaced just before the 2024 Olympics is not a coincidence. Involving FBI is a step further validating that politics are interfering with sports. Obviously, appreciating that you would have a reasonable grasp of the motives behind these incessant reports by Western media. Second, there is a big difference between collective doping and food contamination and you can't talk as if they were the same. After their investigations, WADA and other sport authorities ruled out doping allegations 4 years ago. Thirdly and most importantly, there IS NO CORRELATION between athletic performance and drug abuse as far as the affected Chinese athletes are concerned.

30% of my paycheck goes to local, state and federal taxes... glad to know the federal portion is well spent. On the state and local level i know my taxes help fund my kids blue ribbon school and that i get paid for 12 weeks of maternity leave. I was starting to worry the federal portion wasnt going to catch chinese swimmers from doping. My fears are now put aside.

23 of the Chinese swimming athletes got tested positive for TMZ (banned drug). It's the 80s-90s all over again, except it's the Chinese athletes, instead of the (not banned enough!) Russian athletes.
