Just make sure to clean the silicone immediately after. Silicon absorbs fats and holds onto them. Everything he just showed can be done with classic pyrex bowl and lid you can buy at goodwill for 2 dollars and the pyrex doesn't absorb fats and smells.

For popcorn, all you need is a paper lunch bag, fold top and nuke

Brown paper bag is all you need. Put two tablespoons of kernels in a paper bag, fold over 2x to close with sharp creases, and pop on high for 1:30-1:45 min/sec. No oil required. Pour into bowl add butter, salt/seasonings, mix, and enjoy.

Bonus pops. Carefully scoop the popcorn out leaving the un-popped kernels in the bag. Wait a minute or two and put bag back in for another minute-ish. LISTEN to hear the pops slow down. Stop before the minute is up if it slows down quick (like 38 seconds). Scoop and repeat after letting the bag cool down.

Pro tip: use 2 bags. Put un popped in new bag and nuke right away, no wait time. Then back into the first bag if repeat needed. Also, nuke butter on low (power level 2) before you start the kernels.

Spoiled tip: Add m&m and Chex mix for a boosted chocolatey crunch. 👍

I went to Burlington & got my silicone popcorn popper bowl for $1.99 & I love it. Needs zero oil, just kernels & I do my mixing of butter & toppers in a plastic bowl so my silicone doesn't get all gross. I usually don't like silicone stuff for food but this is my absolute favorite popcorn popper.

I make popcorn in a bowl in the microwave for free. Just get a large bowl and cover it with a loose lid (like a light ceramic plate) and heat for 2 minutes

I have a similar popcorn popper. If you don't want to use spray oil I recommend ghee or avocado oil. I also give it a pinch of salt and msg before popping and nutrition yeast and tajin before eating. Great snack, good fiber and nostalgia for cozy evenings.
