Beautiful Moment as Crowd Helps Lewis Capaldi Get Through Song

* Tourette's syndrome is a condition that causes a person to make involuntary sounds and movements called tics. *
* Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. *

Lewis Capaldi was struggling to sing because of his Tourette’s syndrome. The crowd got louder and sang with him.

The captions also refer to the fact that Lewis Capaldi had mentioned that he needed a break: Before his final song, he told the crowd: “I recently took three weeks off just because I've been non-stop the past year and I wanted to take a wee break from my head for my mental health. I wanted to come back and do Glastonbury because it's obviously so incredible so I just want to thank you all for coming out.”

In the specific moment in the video, Lewis Capaldi was struggling to sing because of his Tourette’s syndrome.

Just adding that here to clarify any confusion about the video and what it refers to.

This shows how truly beautiful humans can be when they want to be.

The highest reward for a poet and composer is when people (unknown to you) sing your song for you.

0:52 I find these few seconds incredibly poignant. His face shows despair and gratitude and it just makes you want to give him a hug and tell him everything will be ok ❤

Imagine the ride of emotions he must of First the embarrassment and frustration of having an episode at that time then the overwhelming love and support from thousands of strangers to the comfort and appreciation knowing and feeling the connection they share with him. 😚

Sometimes, even for a short moment, this world seems to be a perfect place. Without any hatred, but pure love and bliss ❤✨

That’s beautiful. The fact that the crowd isn’t screaming the lyrics and is actually singing is so wholesome. We need more people to be like the members of this crowd.

Love this. I have a child with Tourette’s and showed him this video. It meant so much for him to see such a successful person with tics and to see the support of the crowd.❤

I am an old lady of 72 and just discovered Lewis Capaldi from watching his Netflix documentary.I knew absolutely nothing about this young man but realized that i have
been listening to his lovely songs and beautiful voice often from the radio while driving.
He seem like a very down to earth guy and the documentary shows how much pressure
a successful music artist has to endure to produce more hit songs. Covid stopped all of us in our tracks ... including Lewis's singing career...
Watching the video with him having an attack of Tourette's Syndrome during a performance had me in tears, as his adoring audience was helping him finish his song when he couldn't do it. It was a heartbreaking and a heartwarming moment all at once. Respect and kindness toward LC was beautiful to see. I adore this young man and wish him health and much happiness. xx

He truly has a beautifully deep and mesmerizing voice. I can hear him sing all night long. Who cares about the Tourette’s he’s a compassionate and beautifully sensitive artist. Love him.

People are often taught to put on a perfect face, instead of share their feelings. But this video is literally the response people would get if only we started sharing more. Lewis has been honest as hell and we support him! Most people only want to help ❤

This made me cry. That audience was amazing for what they did for him. I usually hate when they sing as I'd rather hear the person. Much love to him and I hope he sees just how respected and loved he is.❤
