I live in Houston and we have been without power since Monday…..

It is so hot here 😂….

The rumor is that we have another few days to sweat until the electricity is restored

This was only a Cat One storm, what will happen when a Cat Five hits there in a few weeks?

Day 5. No power. No water. Can't get any updates from Centerpoint. You call and no answer. Only automated voice. Maps they are posting were proven fraudulent and from a previous outage.

I'm at a shelter in Galveston.
No flooding .
In Houston, the shelters are providing cots and food .
Here in Galveston, we are forgotten. Only tourist matter .
This city is so corrupt.
Elderly disabled sleeping on the floor .
Using plastic as covers
It is so horrible to see.
They denied a blind man with 1 leg entrance bc he is in diapers.
He had a caregiver !
I want to email the ADA .
Discrimination of a disabled person is against the law!! I emailed the mayor
Who knows if he'll get it

My friend from Texas haven’t been online since the 8th. Before he went offline he had intermittent power outages he blamed on a hurricane. I assume it’s Beryl, but I don’t know… I worry about him. :c

…please be safe!

Al Gore was right about climate change. So glad I stayed in California, even though houses are so much cheaper in Texas.
