I’ve had my leather man for about 25 years now and while I love watching these videos and seeing new styles and tech, there isn’t much IMO that is upgraded from my leather man to warrant a replacement . It’s been old faithful for me and unless it really just breaks I can’t see a reason to replace it.

Watching dudes with rubber wedding rings cutting up cardboard with the latest multitool has me thinking what am I really doing with my life?

I bought the ks2 elite. Love it. Use it all the time for work around the house. But for me, it will not replace my Victorinox ranger as my edc but it’s a great tool that I use and love.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the information over the years. It’s the very least I could do for the quality videos and all the hard work/research.

Thanks Aaron 🙏🏼

Man I love what Roxon has been doing lately. Being innovative, producing solid tools, and very affordable.

I love you do your homework! I’d believe you, over all the other edc channels I check out! Thank you for that! I must confess, though a knife enthusiast and church lady, I have no occasion to use one of these! I don’t even know anyone who would ( I’m a disabled person, and so are my friends!😢)! So, I leave you men, to enjoy! Thank you!

A while ago I realized that I almost never used the pliers on my multitool, at work, and that the weight was always noticeable on my belt. I saw the KS2 Elite and bought it, and haven't regretted it once. Easy one-handed blade deployment over other tools I've used is a big plus. And the scissors, which i use frequently, are a big plus.

The Roxon KS2 is my favorite multi-tool. Its my "leave the house" tool option, not much thicker than a dedicated knife, and it has so much more! It's more "survival" oriented since the quick deploy locking knife if viable for defense, shears and glass breaker for accidents, etc. I have used every tool on it regularly except for the awl, and I use the can-opener as a box opener since its actually very sharp and I dont need it for cans, but its there if I ever do! I do wish there was some way for it to have pliers, but realistically for myself, I havent had much need for small pliers when out, so the KS2 is again perfect for actually going out, and then other multi-tools with pliers for when at home.

Roxon is doing so many things so well and really seem to be focusing on what people actually want they could be mentioned alongside SOG, Leatherman, Gerber, and Victorinox eventually at the trajectory they are on

100% spot on with everything said here! And I also back up Aaron that you should ALWAYS get the elite version.

Ive found that by only carrying a pocket knife or a small fixed blade is most suitable for me. I'm always close to a bag of tools if I need anything tool wise.

I'm happy to see that you've started looking at Roxon tools. I've had the S802 Phantom multi-tool & the original S502 Phantasy lock blade pocket knife (original aluminum handle scales instead of plastic) for nearly 2 years now. I'm still very happy with the quality & utility of both. What sold me on both was the blade trader feature of both tools. You can trade out the blades without needing a tool to do the blade switch. Roxon makes 17 replaceable blades for them. The downside is that 2 of the blades are only available on the tool itself. So, in reality, you can only buy 15 blades separately. The pocket knife comes with a drop point blade & multi-tool comes with a Tanto blade. The good news is that all 15 replacement blades are still available in sets of 3 blades for $20 to $25 each set. That's $6.67 to $8.33 per blade, which is a bargain if you want to outfit your tool with what you consider the perfect blade for your personal EDC tool. The bad news is that you don't get to choose which blades are in each set. Another upside is that the S802 Phantom multi-tool comes with the nylon sheath, the 9-piece bit set & replacement wire cutter blades. In my opinion, it's a bargain for the $50 price on Amazon. Which blades do I consider worthless? I'd have to say the steel comb & the box cutter blade. So, basically, there are 15 usable blades available for your personal preferences. (I bought all 15 of the 'sold separately' replacement blades)

I own both and think the KS2E is amazing. As a maintenance worker, I would still prefer the Powerpint with a pocketable bit set while on the clock. Having full quarter inch drive compatibility; therefore, access to a wide variety of bits is a huge plus. There’s pliers as well, but you mentioned that distinction.

I have been watching you for several years, your videos are so well done and informative. I purchased this tool and have been carrying it every day. The tool set is perfect and the scissors are next level! Only thing I wish it had were larger drivers (Phillips and flat head)

Thank you

I carry a Boker automatic knife I purchased half-price from BladeHQ for $40 and it has a D2 blade...and I absolutely beat on this knife daily. Love it and now I'm going to buy the Roxon tool!

I use the smaller (70mm long) M3, which is brilliant. I believe the socket is magnetised (it is on mine) and the M3 has tweezers and a toothpick and really small flat/philips screwdrivers (i.e. electronics components size) as well as regular screwdriver heads. Knife and scissors are CR13 steel, and all the tools lock. It also comes with the bit set. I carry it all the time.

Thanks, good review and comparison. Very helpful. I have several multitools, and have given a couple away as gifts. My favorite is my Leatherman Sidekick. The least used tool is the pliers. I use the saw and file, and the serrated knife blade more than the pliers. That's just my experience. I'll take a look at the ROXON KS2 ELITE.

I have the Olight x Roxon version, the OKS2 and I’m just so satisfied! It’s the scissors that did it for me. I use it everyday, it’s so convenient, I love it.

I've been rocking the KS2 (then elite, keeping original as spare) and a pair of Knipex or 4in Vise grips in the fifth pocket and it's been able to tackle everything I need.
