You have a lovely relaxed manner and your review is pinpoint - well done! Appreciated!

Thanks Paul great review, I don't believe you should alter your banked lane testing of lane assist systems for any manufacturers. I think the testing you provide is some of the best in the world. Yes even the reverse speed test. Please continue the exploratory service and advice you provide forever a fan!

As always a top notch review. Shame YouTube butchered it with excessive advertising.

I bought the previous model T-Roc 2L R Line. More than a year old now and I love it. On Eco mode I can easily get 6l/100km consumption. My only gripe is that VW South Africa could have delayed the pre-facelift (which was launched last year)model and introduce the model with this facelift. Due to the chip shortage last year I do not have the iQ drive big package but I love the car and people are amazed with the performance. I like your channel and I’ve watched almost all the videos. 🇿🇦🇿🇦

Honestly Paul, as a small SUV, $44000 it's alot of cash! I do like it, but as a family, I would put another $10K to get a larger one.

So they explained the lane assist limitation. How about all the other error messages that occurred at the same time.

Such great car reviews - don't overstay their welcome and he tests all the real world stuff we care about. I love the standardised layout. My favourite car channel and I hope they get to a million+ subs soon.

I feel like VW made you say that bit @18:37 as the car and system they engineered can not complete with other systems out there as we have seen some that perfromed better from previous testing, to further add insult you can now I'm guessing by your comments, not test any more VW on that test. What VW did not explain was, if one element of the car failed why did every other sensor report a false reading / out right failed in operation?

Thanks, Paul.

I like your data comparison spreadsheet.

Please keep updating it. I really value the road noise data in particular. This car would be a bit of a turn off for me on that basis as I find alot of road noise adds to fatigue.

The T-Rocs are very common here in Europe, but most people go for the 1.5 TSI or 1.0 TSI which don’t have the 4Motion AWD.

The wife has the previous model in Iridium Grey and I think it's a great looking car.
I personally feel that the T-roc proportions are a lot better than the T-Cross.
Thanks for another great review.

Would be good if you can also test how effective the semi autonomous park functions are in real world scenarios

Great review! just picked up mine yesterday down in South Africa, Kings Red R line 2.0 4 motion, took it for a 700km drive straight off the bat and got the consumption per L to 6.8 on long-term driving 110km to 120km per H. overall nice drive comfortable on a long trip, decent power did not open up the engine up to much just yet due to being brand, love the pan sunroof lets a lot of light in the only downside is boot size for trips, filled up a full tank and able to get over 800km.

never understood why the top of the dash needs to be soft touch, the only time I touch it, is when I try to keep it clean.

10:31 This is excactly why I'm always hating the push logo trunk buttons, they are always have a chance to not go back for their initial position.

Yo Paul, great review as always. T-Roc has always looked like a smart looking for under 50, 000. I was thinking you guys do a review on the face-lifted Volvo XC40. I've seen a ton of em, was helping my fam to see if it's a good option as we're going for a car in it's segment and are willing to spend 80k max. Have a good one! :)

It's weird to see that the cheap modes still get analogue controls for the volume, which I prefer any day to all-touch, it feels way better and is easier to use while driving.

I guess it's just a very premium thing not being able to blindly set your volume...
