It’s taking on the BMW M4, with its 3.0-litre, turbo, straight-six engine and 431hp, and the 510hp, 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8-powered Mercedes-AMG C63 S! But that’s not all – we’ve also added in the Germans’ predecessors! There’s the BMW M3 E90, which has 420hp and a 4.0-litre V8, as well as the AMG C63 W205, powered by a 6.2-litre V8 with 457hp! It’s old vs new, so which of these five is your money on?

The fact that the old merc had air suspension fitted in and is still pulling so good is insane. Air setups add more weight than standard suspension

Those older V8 engines are some of the best V8s ever created. The aggressive rough sound of the 6.2-L V8 in the older C63 just sounds so good, it's like a freaking muscle car engine, and that 4.0-L V8 in the older E90 M3, we all know sounds amazing with its 8200 RPM redline, making that engine scream loud as heck.

Old c63 easily wins the exhaust battle. Also, the 6.2L V8 in it is a detuned version of the SLS supercar, which would explain a lot about the performance

W204 is the pride and joy in my eye of the C63 family, would of loved to see an Edition 507 up against the field, have a feeling it would have cleaned them all up !!

I watched this video a year ago, and just bought a w204 c63 coupe this past week. After getting it home, I sat down and stared at it for half an hour before crying. Truly an epic car, sounds fantastic, its extremely planted and the steering reminds me of the e36 m3 I had in terms of feedback. If you want one of these, go buy one because they won't get any cheaper and are incredible value for the money.
