I bought the scan n cut because of this presentation! I have been on the fence before now but this convinced me to bite the bullet and go for it. Now I am concerned that I won’t be able to do what it’s capable of doing. I bought it and now what? HELP!

the janome program does it s well, blankets stitch going the wrong way half way though, found a long way around, but need to go into embrillance to fix it

Yes, I refer to that applique method as Eleanor Burns stabilizer applique method! It works, too!

Great video Becky. I have a Janome 500 and want to do this block but can't seem to wrap my head around putting the stem on with the embroidery machine, then appliquéing the apple with the sewing machine and then going back to the leaf. I followed your instructions on the Chicken Salad quilt where you made the chicken with the embroidery machine and then added the tail separately because the block was too big. I did that one OK. But this one has me a little stumped but will keep trying to make it work.
