$30 vs $350 Microphone

The differences are more so in the nuances of the high end mics. They can pick up higher and lower frequencies without issues, static, or interference. They also allow you to use xlr accessories for mixing and effects. The cheap mic is more than enough for anyone who can’t tell the difference. 👍🏼

I'm an audio engineer. I can tell you that the logitech mic sounded cleaner for sure, but there are definitely some better options for about the same price if not just a little more. Also the mic being XLR doesn't neccesarily mean anything, but it's a condensor mic that requires 48V phantom power. A cheap but good interface is the Focusrite Scarlett like he showed :)

while i understand everyone saying they sound the same, i agree, but it is mainly because of how youtube does their audio when it is processed, most of the time people by more expensive mics for streaming, podcasts, or music, most mics about $30-$40ish and up are fine for simple youtube recording

As a musician, it’s not a stupid idea to spend a good amount on a mic. A lot of people would be very surprised about how small some changes or differences are, but make a huge difference.
