Wow thanks. Iv'e had this explained to me so many times but I just now understood it. This table makes it really easy to organize the concepts in my head, your a skillful teacher!

I had never seen this method before, but I will demonstrate it to my students in class tomorrow for those who may be struggling with the method I showed on Friday. Thank you!

If you are asked to find the x-intercepts you can stop at finding (x + a/b)(x + c/d). Set each term equal to zero and solve for x to get x-intercepts of -a/b and -c/d.

Thankyou so so so much. My Algebra teacher goes so fast (which is usually fine since I get it pretty quickly) and I was sick the day she thought it.

Thank you very much! During my Algebra class I sat there not knowing what to do and I was scared to ask the teacher how to do it. This helped me a lot and I’m ready to take my factoring test tomorrow!

Thank you so much. I dont know why but youtube videos are easier to comprehend than my teacher explaining it.

I thought I saw it all when it came to factoring. This is the Holy Grail for factor and those other styles can be thrown out the window.

Great video I just have a question in 5:00. How were you able to put the seven with the variable. I think this is a dumb question but what rule is that. I just never seen someone take the denominator and placed it with the variable.

Y=x^2+14x+49, list the intercepts for the graph of the equation, would you happen to be able to help with this?

Even more efficient: let’s take your last example of 9x^2 + 15x + 4. On the next line, write (9x + ___)(9x + ___). Once you find the 3 and 12, fill in the blanks to get (9x + 3)(9x + 12). Divide each binomial by its GCF, and you get the answer (3x + 1)(3x + 4).

I do love your table on the right. I never feel like I have a dedicated space for listing the possible factors when teaching this, and the table solves that problem.

That's good. Hello. I'm a mathematics tutor. Wouldn't the faster way be the "Greatest Common Factor" strategy?

What if the polynomial is ax^2 +bx - c could you factor
