According to what other people have said, when Chihiro asked Haku if they'd meet again, his reply in Japanese was "I'll come for you" which would have been understood by a Japanese to mean that he was promising to come and be her spirit guide when she died. So they'll meet again, but only after they can be together forever.

This is fitting because my great aunt just passed away yesterday and this song has always reminded me of death, not necessarily in a bad way. It’s peaceful, but sad too.
