The average price of a home in Cobb is 375K. Starting pay for most of those jobs is 50K. You can't afford to live there.

There are so many job openings going unfilled. Teachers, school bus drivers, nurses, 911 operators, HERO units, nearly anything in the food industry, even pilots. The list is extensive even in a recession.

Yall need to check human resources, who could be overlooking black applicants. Cobb County has a history of that foolish....It's been obvious for years. We have millions of folks in Atlanta now, so why is there staffing issues. Black Folks are getting tired of being pulled over by police on the way to work in Cobb like those type of jobs are beneath the Smyrna Community. How can applicants live in those areas on those wages. Blacks who have dignity to serve in those areas, are looked upon as criminals in that community, and ain't nobody tryna live like that.

They cant seem to put 2 and 2 together. More lucrative jobs 1:18 elsewhere? Retention problems? Cobb county may have increased pay & incentives but theyre still behind. Make it worth an applicants job so they wont come and them leave.

That's because if the people you work with are like kids 😂..I used to work for several months until being fired before my probation was up because they don't understand what is like being a parent of young children getting sick especially when they just started daycare and you need to pick them up early...you need two things to make it work...a good pay and good people to work with..good supervisors & management...your weak link could be internally within your system, Cobb County HR...check your seasoned employees and management first
