Luigi Datome was the man of the moment as Fenerbahce Istanbul maintained its grip on first place in Top 16 Group E with a hard-earned 72-65 victory over Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade on Friday night. At half time, Fenerbahce was down by nine points and in trouble. But then Datome took over, inspiring a victory which maintains his team’s season-long unbeaten home record and earning himself the MVP award for Round 9 of the Top 16.
