Vilppulan Urhojen Muistolle (also known as Kytösavun aukeilla mailla according to its first words) is a patriotic marching song written and composed by Heikki Klemet in 1918. The song praises the Southern Ostrobothnia guard corps who distinguished themselves on the Vilppula front during the Finnish civil war. Klemetti composed the song during the war, but the work did not have its premiere until after the war, on the Lapua days on July 14, 1918.
Despite this, the song became one of the most famous marching songs of the White Guard (Democratic side of the civil war). The song was popular among the protection corps members. The Southern Ostrobothnia guard and lotta districts adopted it as their honor march.
