It’s taken me 400 hours to finally learn how to learn about the game, and boy am I hooked. Without you and raxx exposing me to both poe and last epoch, I’d have never gotten into arpgs like I am now. Thanks for the dope content!

Just started this league for the first time, got to maps on 1 character now trying a new. Having a blast! Love watching your journey through it too in twitch!!

Great vid and I agree 100% with your sentiment. Beyond the obvious game bloat that's been inherited from 10+ years of complex development -- I think there's another big reason for the disconnect that new players (I still consider myself one after 300+ hours and 4 leagues) typically have with understanding the gameplay loop and important character progression fundamentals:

The "beginner-friendly League Starters" that are made by people with ~5k+ hours into the game. Holy. I don't think I've ever found a build guide that was actually intuitive and holistic. Each one I try (through video overviews, PoBs, popular guide sites, etc.) always gloss over fundamentals like why certain gear for a build is important, concrete stat thresholds to aim for in order to not get one-shot post campaign, item bases to look out for, how to craft each piece of equipment they showcase on PoB. Everything besides the passive skill tree progression is always way too open-ended.

I could prolly be alone in thinking this, but I had to type out this gripe bc it's honestly bonkers to me that each league I feel like I spend way too much time trying to understand where my character is at & what it needs bc the build guide / league starter I used was just flat. If you read this gz ily <3

I have 275 hours and this is my FIRST season. I got obsessed and almost completed a T17 already! It helped that I had a good friend who has been playing for years basically in Discord walking me through everything the start of a season. It is tough to get started but the game is amazing. I fell in love with the trading system and making "money" which I NEVER do in any other game. It's so rewarding when you sell your first thing for a Divine! I HIGHLY recommend this game to people. Don't be scared of how much depth is in there at the start. There are videos on EVERYTHING and it is worth it!

It's also worth mentioning that MTX is going to carry over to PoE2 where applicable. If you try it out and buy a bunch of tabs, you're going to get those on PoE2 as well. Buy 1 Get 1, for the most part.

This game is so addictive I just started playing myself. Super complex and way different from pretty much any other game. Love it

I played a few hours of POE a few months ago and I thought it was pretty good. Think I am going to wait for POE 2 while playing some other games though. There are many ways to have fun.

I've got about 1.6k hours into poe since 2013 (mostly since 2017)
I lose interest before I get far into maps, but I still love playing the game up till that point.
Every so often a league catches my interest to try again to see how far I can get.
I'm not interested enough to learn the crafting system, but I enjoy the game nonetheless.

I got to 72 in 2012 or 2013, sometime early after release. I left for years and came back and there was already so much. New Acts for example and leagues.

I enjoyed harvest, was super simple but easy to understand. At least, I'm terms of just kill the waves. I still don't know what to do with Syndicate/exiles and the scrolls/marks. Beasts I just learned you can craft using the captured beasts. I am in map t12 with ballista toxic rain and I really enjoy it. This is furthest I've made it. Would def call myself casual regardless of having put at least hundreds of hours in.

Thanks for the video dude. I was almost going to give up on POE as a new player after almost 200 hours into the game. This game can be really frustrating to understand for me but at the same time i really-really like POE. And more importantly it would feel crappy to give up when iˋm so far into the game already. So iˋm going to figure it out and try to enjoy the game. Thank you for the encouragement and greetings from Estonia.

I've been playing for years and you're right in all you've said.
I've really enjoyed watching your poe journey from when you first started - and it's great that things seem to be working out well for you.

I started playing in Delve and I kicked myself for not starting sooner, I was one the people who always heard the game was too complicated and it always scared me away. As I started playing and enjoying myself I realized how deep the game is.

This is my first league I’ve ever put any effort in and I’ve had a blast. It is way too complicated and it’s unnecessary but I’ve had fun. I settled on breach and delve for the things I enjoy. The good thing is there are sooo many different things you can focus on based on what you want

Poe is a timeless masterpiece that I wish could change the entire gaming industry. If this game was available on mobile I would drop literally everything and solely focus on PoE 💯 and not think twice about it.

Spending money on MTX and Stash Tabs in this game make me feel good. Its a solid game with great Devs and Game designers. I just think of it as supporting those people in making the game better. I think its defiently worth $60-$100 worth of MTX for sure (Im Currently at like $200 but oh well)

We really need a button to dump everything into your stash.
Individually ctrl clicking 47 different shards, orbs, maps, fragments, essence, splinters etc. after every map is pain.
