Welcome back to Chasing the Sun vlog! In this video, my buddy Ed and I will ride and compare our two Aprilia Tuonos. They are both V4 1100s and I have the 2018 while he has the 2021. They are different generations and surprisingly very different machines although the engine is the same.

Watch till the end to see our honest comparison of these two great motorcycles.

Great comparison and it makes sense. I bought my first Aprilia in 2016; a 2012 V4 1000 APRC.. I loved the linear torque and power delivery from the moment you pull away till maxed out at the top end.
Three months later (January 2017) I popped in to the same dealership and there stood my next V4; an RSV4 Factory 2011 model. The RSV4 Factory APRC made plenty power above 10, 000 rpm; and only took a few seconds more with the throttel wide open to get to 300kmph. To be honest; it was actually very boring and most uncomfortable when commuting in traffic. My 2012 Tuono was so much more fun; whether commuting or on the open road. In fact; it was even more fun on the track than the RSV4. June 2017 came along; and after as test ride on a demo 2016 Touno 1100 RR I traded both my bikes in on a new 2016 1100 RR they still had in stock. To put it mildly; this one is almost brutal while still very confidence inspiring and everything under control. A month later my brother sold his R1 and managed to get hold of the very last 2016 1100 RR they had in stock. SC Project Titanium slip on; OEM Forged rims; OEM Race ECU and OEM tail end fitted (4 year project & many $$$ later) I've become an "addict" (hooligan)! I will never trade up on a newer model; since in my humble opinion they have taken most of the fun out of the post 2018 models (too many rider aids; BMW style).... Previous Two Strokes: (Honda; Suzuki; Kawasaki; Yamaha 50cc; 50cc; 80cc; 350cc; 250cc Husky & 495cc KTM. In 10 odd years' time when I'm too old to ride my 2016 Tuono; I'll probably get myself a VesPa EV and tour the countryside in style...

Ed disconnect your flapper valve added healtech ESE dongle so no fault codes, will give that carpark noise, I have the same Tarmac Grey '21, I changed the rear sprocket to 44 tooth wich is +4 RR or +2 Factory, lowering link & tinted powerbronze screen.
