Ready to begin your maritime career? Your first step is STCW Basic Safety training - a mandatory requirement to start working on commercial boats and enter the world of yachting.

STCW Basic Safety with Seascope France is comprised of 5 modules:

- Personal Safety & Social Responsibility (STCW Reg. VI/1. Sect. A-VI/1 (para 2.1.4): understanding of on-board working conditions, safety procedures and accident prevention.
- Personal Survival Techniques (STCW Reg. VI/1. Sect. A-VI/1 (para 2.1.1): survival at sea in the event of an emergency, life-raft familiarisation.
- Elementary First Aid (STCW Reg. VI/1. Sect. A-VI/1 (para 2.1.3): basic first aid training & resuscitation.
- Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting (STCW Reg. VI/1. Sect. A-VI/1 (para 2.1.2): fire causes, prevention, extinguishing techniques.
- Proficiency in Security Awareness (STCW Reg. VI/6. Sect. A-VI/6 (para 4): importance of on-board security and how to recognise and react in the event of security threats.
