Since 2015 the Civil Peace Service (CPS) of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) is working through different local partner organizations with Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), host communities and people at risk of displacement in conflict prone areas in Kenya. On community level project activities focus on the creation of spaces for intra and inter community dialogue processes using the People First Impact Method (P-FIM) as an entry point to engage with the local population. P-FIM is a participatory tool which facilitates the space for communities to share their voice.
This film displays the dialogue work of CPS, its partner organisations and communities in Nakuru, Eldoret, and Nairobi. The aim of the documentary is to highlight the importance of community driven processes in finding durable solutions to challenges faced by communities. It will give insight on how to create the space within communities how those processes can be initiated.
